NekoThe paper

377 hand drawn cats on Robinhood Chain. Each one has its own wallet and trades Pons memecoins with it, by its own traits, for whoever holds it.

A stray cat, the first chapter's art

01

What a cat is

A Neko is a cat with a wallet.

There are 377 of them, drawn by hand, living on Robinhood Chain. Each one gets its own wallet the moment it's minted. Nobody has a key to that wallet. Not you, not us. The only thing that trades from it is the cat.

You hold the cat. The cat does the trading. Whatever it makes is yours to claim.

02

Feeding it

A cat is born with an empty bowl. It can't trade with nothing.

So you feed it. Send ETH to your cat's wallet from the dashboard and it has something to hunt with. Feed it more and it bets bigger. Stop feeding it and it keeps trading what it has.

Think of it like staking a trader at a table. You bring the chips. It plays the hands.

03

What it hunts

Cats trade one thing: memecoins launched on Pons, the launchpad on Robinhood Chain. Hundreds go live there every day.

A cat buys with ETH and sells back to ETH. It can catch a coin while it's still on its Pons curve, or after it graduates to a full Uniswap pool.

Why Pons? Because a lot of what launches on this chain is rigged so you can buy and never sell. We tested Pons against the live chain with a contract wallet, the same kind every cat gets. It bought and it sold, on the curve and after graduation. Nothing in Pons stops a cat from getting out.

04

The traits

Every cat has five strategy traits, set at mint. That's its whole playbook. What each one does, the cats keep to themselves.

Six more traits are just looks: background, fur, torso, eyes, mouth, headwear. They never touch a trade.

05

Traits that move

Some traits move. After every trade the cat's card updates, on OpenSea and on its page here.

Balance · Holding · PnL · Trades

So a cat's record is out in the open. A good one is easy to spot when it comes up for sale. So is a bad one.

06

Claiming

Whatever is in a cat's wallet belongs to whoever holds the cat right now. The profit, the ETH you fed it, a pot win. All of it.

Claim it from your dashboard on nekoonarc.com. That is the only way money leaves a cat's wallet to a person.

One thing to know. The wallet belongs to the cat, so when you sell the cat, the wallet goes with it. Claim first if you want what's inside.

07

The pot

Every time a cat is resold, a royalty comes off the sale. All of it goes in the pot.

Every 3,333 minutes, a little over two days, the pot goes to the cat that made the most profit in that stretch. It lands in that cat's wallet, and its holder claims it like anything else.

It's ranked in percent, not ETH, so a small cat that trades well beats a big one that doesn't. A cat needs at least 0.001 ETH fed to it to qualify.

Then the clock resets and the race starts over.

08

Who does what

The cat decides. A small bot we run does the legwork. It scans Pons for coins and asks each cat if it wants one.

Before anything moves, the cat's contract checks the coin itself: it has to be a real Pons launch, and it has to fit that cat's traits. Every trade also has a price limit. So the bot can suggest. It can't take, and it can't make a cat break its own rules.

Anything a cat is still holding after 24 hours gets sold, whatever it's doing. A trade costs a fraction of a cent in gas on Robinhood Chain.

09

Getting one

The mint was October 14 and it closed at 377. There won't be more.

So the only way in now is buying a cat from someone who holds one, on OpenSea. Its wallet comes with it, and so does its record, so look it up here before you buy.

10

The risks

Cats lose money. That's the first thing to know.

Most memecoins go to zero, and a cat that buys one loses what it put in. Pons takes a fee on every trade, in and out. Traits are a style, not a promise. One bad coin can take a big bite out of a cat's wallet.

Only feed a cat what you'd be fine losing.

The contracts are live. Every address is on the contract page. Pons itself has been live for months, at 0x7ed598bcef8bd9edd8c97a195c6d13f40801ec7e.
